FOSTERING

During the past three years, many members of DASH have gained immeasurable insight and inspiration about dog rescue by developing a hands-on “foster-to-forever” philosophy for countless pets.

Within our grass-roots organization we selected a handful of homes where owners would allow dogs to come in off the street in the morning and sleep in a soft, safe bed the same night.

Fostering allows experienced dog owners to help assimilate stray dogs and shelter dogs, helping to teach them skills that will allow them to be compatible, loving, attentive and obedient pets.
